About Aoife Clare

Third generation Fiji born on 1 May to an identical twin, these factors have had a major influence on my life ever since. Moreover a rainstorm at my birth, so torrential that it drove water through the roof on to the babies, seems to have had a 'water on the brain' influence too. How else  do I explain this urge to write in the smallest of hours? It's a crazy sort of life but if I don't give in to it, sleep becomes a stranger.

Writing is a necessity, not an option and some of the craziness that leaks from my pen makes more sense on the paper than most of the major events that haunt my existence.

The fun part of all this is that I can share all this stuff with my readers.
I can assure all of you that truth really is stranger than fiction and it's
right there on the paper in the midst of my stories.

Qualifications? I have a B.A. in English, a Diploma in Teaching and as a qualified primary school teacher, am able to teach remedial reading to high school students and adults. Life itself has given me the qualifications to write and I'm still learning how to both live and write in the very 'best' way I possibly can.

('Aoife,' by the way, is pronounced 'eefah'.)
